Best Chinese food in the area. Been coming to this restaurant for about 7 years, food and staff consistently great!!Always the first place if Chinese food is needed for delivery or meal out!!!

We have been going to the Welcome Inn over thirty years, the new owners have taken over the reins and are maintaining the excellent quality of food and service. Crispy beef better than ever and fu Kwai prawns maybe need some attention. Well Done.

Absolutely lovely food but far too expensive. Would love to eat there more often but have to save it for a special occasion. Please Welcome Inn do a set price buffet like the one in upminster and I am sure you will be full every day.

There isn't a better Chinese restaurant in the area. But it is also one of the most expensive. The owners and staff are great, excellent service

Amazing staff and wonderful food makes this place my favourite restaurant. From the minute you walk into the place you are made welcome. It is always packed with regular customers. Highly recommend

Lovely staff, lovely decor and fantastic food.

Just ordered from here. I was so dissapointed! It was the most greasy and distasteful Chinese I’ve ever tasted. I threw it all away - what a waste of money. The rib were just fried bone and the squid (what squid) it was just batter. Literally feel sick.

Loved the food. Staff were amazing. The beer choice was impressive.

Great little restaurant for nice food. Even some English options for those who are going with friends and family who don't like chinese.

The food isn't as good any longer and buying a takeaway the waiter took my card on placing the food order and used contactless payment before asking me if this was ok, and then declined to accept the card as payment for a glass of wine as it was under £10. They have lost me as a customer.

The best Chinese in the area - we rarely go anywhere else now. The staff are very friendly too. Delicious - you won't be disappointed

No not good the worst CHINESE meal I have ever had my local takeaway TIMBO in Rochford is 500% better try their house special mixed meat curry or house special mixed meat chow mien effin pukka regards Tricky x

Good food and atmosphere, a bit slow on the bill that said was busy.

I went here yesterday evening for a family dinner & had a lovely time. They have managed dine in really well with plenty of space. Everything is spotless and the food was amazing! This will now be our regular, could not fault anything at all!!

Best Chinese in the Area. Not gone for years but went twice in quick consestion and great both times. Service excellent food even better. Prawns in hot and garlic still the best. Always friendly staff. Busy so booking at weekends is advised.

Peking duck and shrimp was tasty

Been visiting for years and the staff are all great and the food is on another level. Amazing every time we visit and well worth the price! Would strongly suggest trying if you haven't before!

Love this restaurant and the staff are great especially Gar. Since writing this review it has been taken over by new owners but it still has the great food we have always enjoyed.

Food is consistently excellent, I’ll say it’s the best chinese in the city!! I’ve been going there for years and the quality has always remained the same which is great!!

Just got back from the welcome inn. It was our first visit, we thought we would try it as it had good reviews and we had been given personal recommendations. We were not disappointed, the food and service was excellent. The meal was my birthday which I mentioned just 5-10 minutes before we left and the waiters brought out a birthday cake and took a picture of the party (which they gave me a copy of). That was a really nice thought. We usually have Chinese food elsewhere however the welcome inn is definitely on our list of must return to Restaurant's.I also found the prices very reasonable.

Food was good service was okay don't like the way they hover over you more drinks have you finished your meal

Got the £60 meal for 2. Started off ok but went downhill when the duck arrived then the main meals had far to much cornflour in the and just turned to slimy paste. Wont be back
